If you’re in the market for a bicycle, where do you start? If you buy a car, you’d likely want to take it for a spin before settling on a purchase. Buying a bike is no different!
Bike purchases typically start with a test ride to give you a feel for the equipment you’re buying. At Cardinal Bicycle, we have test rides down to a science. Whether you’re a complete beginner buying your first bike, or a seasoned cyclist looking for an upgrade, our test rides are designed to find you the perfect bike.
Here’s exactly what to expect from our test ride experience.
How a Cardinal Bicycle Test Ride Works
When it comes to test rides, we’ve thought of everything, so you don’t have to. We’ll walk you through the process from start to finish and answer any questions you may have.
- It starts with a conversation with a member of our team. (Just say hello and our staff can take it from there!) We love bikes and we really love sharing what we know.
- Next, we’ll want to get to know you a little bit about you. We’ll likely ask about your goals and where you plan to ride. If you don’t know, don’t worry. We’ll help you figure it out.
- Once we determine what you’re looking for in a ride, we’ll pick 1-3 bikes for you to try from our extensive inventory (or if you know what you’re looking for, let us know!). We’ll walk you through any special features so you feel comfortable with each model.
- We’ll put on pedals, adjust the seat, and get the bikes road ready. And of course, we’ll let you borrow a helmet to make sure you’re safe.
- Now it’s time for test rides! Leave your ID at the counter and then head out to our spacious parking lot or venture into the welcoming neighborhood right next to our Orange Avenue facility. Take your time testing out the feel of the bike and getting familiar with its features.
- When you feel satisfied that you’ve gotten a feel for how the bicycle performs, ride it back to the shop. We’ll be on hand to answer any questions, adjust settings, and register feedback to give you customized suggestions.
- The last step is to choose the bicycle that’s right for you! Our process is designed to make you feel confident and comfortable that your equipment will meet your needs and help you reach your goals.
You’ll also enjoy a free sizing with every purchase to make sure your bike is just right. Ride your bike for a few weeks and then give us a call. We will schedule you for a 30 min consultation with a team member to dial your saddle and handlebar position for comfort and performance base off of measurement and your feedback.
