Weekly Group Rides

We have group rides for all levels and types of riders. During the week, join us on Tuesday for beginner, intermediate, and advanced road rides; on Wednesday for an intermediate to advanced mountain bike ride; on Thursday for our casual women’s ride (which is open to any riders who feel more comfortable in this environment). On the weekends, we have road and mountain bike rides on Saturday, and we head to Carvins Cove to mountain bike on Sunday. You can also join us at our Gravel Camp rides that start in Spring.

The Mullet Mountain Bike Ride

6pm Wednesdays
Cardinal Bicycle Grandin

The Mullet is a “business in the front, party in the back” no-drop intermediate mountain bike ride. Riders should be comfortable riding to the top of Mill Mountain to enjoy this ride. Beginner riders can check out our skills clinics and Sunday mountain bike ride options. The ride is about 1.5 hours.

Gather at the Cardinal Café post-ride for drinks, pizza, and snacks.

*The last ride of the season is Nov. 1. We'll resume weekly evening rides in the Spring.

Gravel and Grinds

Crank Sisters Social

6pm Thursdays
Cardinal Bicycle Grandin

Join the Crank Sisters on Thursday for a casual social ride. This ride is open to women, women-identifying, and non-binary riders, and anyone who feels more comfortable with this group. The route is a no-drop, flat social ride on the Greenway and quiet neighborhood streets. Depending on group interest and comfort levels, the group (or part of the group) may venture over to some rolling climbs.

Gather at the Cardinal Café post-ride for drinks, pizza, and snacks.

*The last ride of the season is Nov. 2. We'll resume weekly evening rides March 14.

Mullet Ride

But First, Coffee Road Ride

9:30am Saturdays
Cardinal Bicycle Grandin

This ride starts at 9:30am at Cardinal Bicycle Grandin, so you have time for your breakfast and coffee at the Cardinal Cafe (which opens at 9:00 a.m.). This is a no-drop ride, but please ensure you can maintain a ~15mph pace before joining this group. Ride route example.

For beginner rides, check out the Tuesday L'Eroica ride or the Thursday Crank Sisters.

Gravel and Grinds

Singletrack Shenanigans

9:30am Saturdays
Cardinal Bicycle Grandin

This ride explores mountain bike trails, gravel roads, and as little asphalt as possible as we meander our way along the local trail systems. You can ride a mountain bike, a mountain E-bike or maybe—just maybe—a gravel bike. These are intermediate no-drop rides. Rides are typically between 20 and 40 miles (3-5 hours with 2k-5k climbing). Most of the routes are pre-determined and there are usually bail-out options if you are running out of time or legs. Some trips may include a rest stop but there is no guarantee—so bring plenty of food and water. We are always open to route detours, photo-op stops, or just exploring.

M&M Mountain Bike Ride

9:30am Sundays
Carvins Cove (Bennett Springs Lot)

The M&M ride is a mountain bike ride every Sunday at 9:30 am, starting at the Bennett Springs parking lot at Carvins Cove.

The group typically has 2 or 3 ride groups of varying ability levels to accommodate most abilities.

The group is really fun and welcoming, and it has converted many folks into mountain bikers already...so come and be one of them!
