Formerly the "Mullet Ride" has been rolled into a weekly social ride with options for a variety of disciplines and ability levels.

The Original Mullet: 60-80 minute no-drop, mountain bike ride on Mill Mountain.
Beginner-Friendly Greenway Ride: 30-45 minute true beginner or low impact ride
The Road Ride: 60-80 minute no-drop intermediate road ride 

All rides end with pizza & $1 off drafts at the Cardinal Cafe.

A conversation-paced gravel and pavement ride leaving from Cardinal Bicycle Grandin to start off your Saturday morning on the right...wheel. Roanoke has a wealth of gravel riding routes to be explored, and cycling buddies to be made. 

Bring lights (during winter months) and coffee money.

Come as you are on what you got! Any individual with a female or non-binary gender identity can ride with us on a sub 10 mile no drop social ride. Have fun, make friends and ride bikes.

Après pizza, snacks and beer will be available until 9pm at Cardinal Bicycle Cafe.

Mullet Ride

Saturday Morning Road Training Ride

8am at Orange Ave
8:30am at Grandin location

Road-specific training ride that starts with 30-40 mile rides, the faster groups that leave early will build to 60-65 mile rides throughout the riding season. There are TWO start times & locations depending on the distance you want, so READ CAREFULLY...

8am at Cardinal Orange Ave. (if you start here it will be an ~3 hour event with ~40 miles of riding)

8:30 start at Cardinal Grandin (if you start here ~2 hour event with 30 miles of riding

9:30 the "But First Coffee" Moderate Ride starts after breakfast & coffee at the shop. 14-16 MPH pace group that rides 30-40 miles total.

10:30am coffee hour for the longer rides with breakfast, lunch, coffee or beer offerings at  the Cafe (Grandin)

11am leave for Cardinal Orange (or stay at Cardinal Grandin and enjoy your morning).

Lunch Vacation Ride (LVR)

12pm Fridays
Cardinal Bicycle Grandin

This fun and friendly 50-minute mountain bike ride will give you a mini-vacation on your lunch break. 

The ride explores the singletrack at Fishburn and Woodlawn Parks and the Murray Run Greenway. Order lunch and have it ready when you get back (take it to-go or work the rest of the day in our café and lounge).

This is NOT an official shop ride (it has been happening for years before the Grandin location existed). However, they currently start and end at Cardinal Grandin.

Known as "America's Friendliest Road Ride" for all levels. This is a gorgeous rolling route with many distances and climbing options.
