Bike Rental FAQ

What bike should I get?

Roanoke is full of trails from mild to wild. Pick a bike for the terrain you plan on riding. The Rockhopper is great for Carvins cove XC trails, The Stumpy EVO can tackle big climbs and big descents, and The Levo E-Bike is perfect for getting to those hard to reach views!

Where do I ride?

Roanoke is home to hundreds of miles of incredible trails. We recommend taking a look at the Cardinal Bicycle Suggested Rides page and planning a ride before you show up. Not all trails are appropriate for all riders, if you have a question call the shop and we will do our best to point you in the right direction.

What happens if I have a mechanical issue or get a flat?

Cardinal Bicycle is not responsible for bicycle recovery or on-site repair. If you have a mechanical issue on the trail, you are responsible for the repair and recovery of the bicycle. Flat kits and pumps can be requested at pickup.

Do you have insurance?

Yes, Cardinal Bicycle offers in-house insurance to protect you in the event of damage sustained during a ride.  Insurance is optional and may be purchased at the time of renting or in-store.
