Cardinal Bicycle Welcomes Santa Cruz Bicycles

Cardinal Bicycle is pleased to welcome Santa Cruz Bicycles into our store. Santa Cruz Bicycles was founded in 1994 in California with a rider-first mentality and a mission to make bikes that will stand up to real-world abuse.

“We are looking forward to working with Santa Cruz. With a focus on community and rider support, Santa Cruz shares similar values to Cardinal,” stated Whit Ellerman, Cardinal Bicycle Owner and CEO. “We look forward to getting Santa Cruz involved in our local community and finding ways to work together to support all riders in the region.”

Mark Monnett, Santa Cruz Account Manager added, “We are excited to work with Cardinal Bicycle to grow the Santa Cruz brand throughout this region and to be a part their continuing efforts to grow cycling culture and community in Roanoke.”

To welcome Santa Cruz, Cardinal Bicycle is making a donation to local trails through the sale of a Santa Cruz Tallboy. One hundred percent of proceeds from the sale of this selected bike, priced at $4,850, will be donated to a local trail project.

Cardinal Bicycle will unveil the bike on Thursday November 9 as part of the Nothing’s for Free movie screening at the Grandin Theatre. This movie screening is a fundraiser for the RVD Gravity Youth Cycling Team, Pathfinders, and Blue Ridge Off-Road Cyclists. Tickets are available
online and at the door.
