Cardinal Bicycle will be at GO Fest! Experts from Cane Creek, Industry Nine, Specialized, Santa Cruz, and Wolf Tooth will be joining us at our booth to help us bring you the best GO Fest experience we can offer. Join a ride, demo a bike, talk to an expert, learn something new, or just relax in the Cardinal Lounge.

We will be downtown on Friday and Saturday and at the Adventure Outpost at Explore Park on Sunday.

Friday, October 18 - Downtown

5:00 - 7:00 - Ask a Mechanic

Hang out in the Cardinal Lounge and chat with our expert mechanics. Ask your technical questions or just hang out and get to know the team. You can also see if you can change a flat the fastest or guess the weight of our giant tube ball.

Saturday, October 19 - Downtown

9:30 - Cardinal Bicycle Road Ride

Join a fun 1.5 to 2 hour intermediate road ride starting from the Cardinal GO Fest Booth to some of our favorite roads in Roanoke. This ride will include climbing and is appropriate for intermediate and advanced riders. 9:30 - Cardinal Bicycle Singletrack Shenanigans 

This ride explores mountain bike trails, gravel roads, and as little asphalt as possible as we meander our way along the local trail systems. You can ride a mountain bike, a mountain e-bike or maybe—just maybe—a gravel bike. This is an intermediate no-drop ride of about 3-5 hours. There will be bail-out options if you are running out of time or just want a shorter ride. Be sure to bring plenty of food and water. 

11:00-3:00 - E-Bike Demos with Cardinal Bicycle & Specialized

Try a Specialized Vado or Como! These e-bikes are perfect for Greenway adventures, commuting, family rides, getting around town, and more. These bikes are life changing. Don’t believe us? Give one a try and find out.  

2:00 - Intro to Bike Packing with Wolf Tooth Components

Learn how to get your gear set up and ready to go bike packing with Josh Feazell from Wolf Tooth Components. Josh will go over some bike packing basics to get you started and tips for customizing your current bike to best carry your gear.  

Sunday, October 20 - Adventure Outpost at Explore Park

9:00 - Cardinal Bicycle and Cane Creek Gravel Ride

Join Cardinal Bicycle and Cane Creek for a fun and challenging 2-3 hour gravel ride. We will all head out from the Adventure Outpost at Explore Park to some local favorite gravel roads. Expect a mix of pavement and gravel with lots of climbing. 

9:00 - Cardinal Bicycle Beginner Mountain Bike Ride

Join us for a beginner mountain bike ride at Explore Park. We will ride easy trails and gravel roads. This 1 to 1.5 hour ride is a perfect ride to get more comfortable off-road and meet other beginner riders. 

9:00 - Cardinal Bicycle Mountain Bike Ride

Join us for an intermediate to advanced mountain bike ride on the trails at Explore Park. This ~1.5 hour ride will explore our favorite trails and be back in time to be first in line to demo a mountain bike with Specialized or Santa Cruz. 

11:00 to 3:00 - Mountain Bike Demos with Specialized and Santa Cruz

Cardinal Bicycle, Specialized, and Santa Cruz will have a fleet of full suspension mountain bikes for you to try out on the trails. Choose from a Specialized Epic 8, Specialized Stumpjumper, Santa Cruz Tall Boy, and more. We will have a full range of sizes available. Wear your riding clothes and appropriate shoes and bring a hydration pack or water bottle. Bring your own helmet and pedals, or we will have helmets and flat pedals you can use for your ride. A state or federal identification card will be required to demo a bicycle. 

2:00 - Cardinal Bicycle Bike Box Derby

Decorate you and your bike using a cardboard bike box—and any other materials you choose! Bring (or ride) your completed masterpiece to Explore Park on Sunday Oct 20 to ride the Bike Box Derby Course, which will be a paved loop less than ½ mile long. Expert judges will select a winner based on creativity, amount of the bike box used, and ability to complete the course. Pick up your bike box at Cardinal Bicycle any time before Sunday October 20. Sign up: https://CardinalBicycle.as.me/BikeBoxDerby
